Royals Mascot Hot Dog Assault

Royals Mascot Hot Dog AssaultThis is one weird lawsuit! The Kansas City Royals mascot “Sluggerrr” has stirred up controversy after pelting a guy in the eye with a hot dog.

During a September game, Sluggerrr sent hot dogs flying into the stands with the use of a hot dog slinging canon contraption.  After the canon ran out, he proceeded to throw food by hand (or paw) into the audience.

Sluggerrr must have been taking lessons from the Royals pitcher. Trying to be fun and fancy, the mascot attempted to throw a hot dog over his back. The hot dog did not reach it’s intended velocity and hit a fan square in the eye instead.

John Coomer, the lucky hot dog assaulted fan, allegedly suffered from a detached retina and has since undergone a couple surgeries to fix his ego… we mean his eye.

A hot dog in the eye lol. Ouch!

  2. admin says:

Bet he wouldn’t have filed a lawsuit if that hot dog made its way to his mouth.

  3. Fred Rodgers says:

If someone threw a hot dog at me in the eye, I’d definitely sue them for my medical bills.

It might be a wierd situation, but I’d only expect to be hit by baseballs, not by hot dogs.

Especially in this scenario were he actually had to undergo surgeries to fix his detached retina. Even though it was an “accident”, someone still has to pay the bills at the end of the day.
