On the contrary, this was not the case back in 1964. Although this era was the median of the Sexual Revolution, the overall concept of promiscuity was not widely accepted.

A couple weeks after moving to San Francisco, a woman was riding a San Fran Cable Car when it’s cable grip failed, causing it to barrel down the hill and finally hit into a pole. Now the normal person would most likely take a few days off work, get checked out by a doctor, or have a few drinks. Not Miss Cable. Still bruised and shaken from the accident, this woman apparently acquired a new sexual thirst that had to be quenched. Miss Cable hit the streets and consumed 100 men in a ravaged sex spree, 50 of which were reported to occur in a single week.

Claiming to suffer from Post Traumatic Stress, Miss Cable sued the state for $500,000 ($5k for each person she slept with?). Although she attempted to gain a half million settlement, the jury only awarded her $50,000.

After this weird lawsuit was settled, the woman fell off the face of the earth. She was later dubbed “Miss Cable” and her story still lives on.

Lets just say everyone left with a happy ending in this case!
