What comes to mind when you think of Chicago… cold weather, baseball, gangsters, weird laws? What! Weird laws? Yes, Chicago definitely has weird laws too.
In the late 1800′s, building height was restricted to 130 feet. At one time, you were considered a nomad if you were caught with less than one dollar on hand. Or how about this… you could end up in jail if caught diseased or ugly in public. It is still against the law to fly kites downtown or flush garbage in a toilet.
Most of these laws were cleaned up in the 70′s, but some still remain on the books to keep us laughing.
